NIEHS Fall 2021 Updates
- Please find attached an updated flyer highlighting current funding opportunities available at NIH & NIEHS.
- We also wanted to let you know that NIH is hosting a Virtual Seminar which will be held November 1-4, 2021. You can register for this free event at: https://nihvirtualseminar2021.vfairs.com/
This seminar is a great opportunity for those new to the NIH process to learn about the NIH grant process, and for attendees to meet with experts from grants, program, and review from across NIH. Similarly to last year this event will be 100% virtual with concurrent sessions in the afternoon and an exhibit hall where each IC, including NIEHS, will have a booth.
A few of the sessions on the agenda include:
Nov. 1st:
· Fundamentals of the NIH Grants Process and Need-to-Know Resources (for those completely new to NIH)
· NIH and You: Working to UNITE the Extramural Research Community
Nov. 2nd:
· One track is devoted to New Investigators
· NIH Peer Review: “Live” Mock Study Section with Q&A (featuring NIEHS’ own Danielle Carlin)
Nov. 3rd:
· Sessions on F, K, and R15 mechanisms
· Diversity in the Biomedical Workforce
Nov. 4th:
· Including Diverse Populations in NIH-Funded Clinical Research
· NIH Loan Repayment Program (LRP)
· Developing and Optimizing Your Mentor Relationships
If you have more questions about this event, please contact Amanda Garton at amanda.garton@nih.gov. And please feel free to pass the meeting information along to other colleagues who may be interested.
- We just found out about webinar hosted by the Community-Campus Partnerships for Health that we wanted to share with you, titled: At the Heart of the Matter: Where's the Money? Finding Resources to Support HBCU Community Engaged Work.
